Health Triage will be present at the National Congress of GISMa (Gruppo Italiano Screening Mammografico – Italian Mammography Screening Group), scheduled at the AURUM in Pescara from May 20 to 22, 2026. The event is the main national reference point for public health dedicated to breast cancer prevention, and this year will focus on the technological and organizational integrations of screening programs.
On May 21 at 9:00 AM, in the D’Annunzio Hall, Health Triage will lead a technical symposium titled: “AI-based triage in breast cancer screening.” The session will be moderated by Daniele Regge (Chief Medical Officer of Health Triage) and will open with a presentation by Francesca Caumo (Director of the Breast Unit at Ospedale Pederzoli), who will frame the current literature on AI triage within the new guidelines issued by the Italian National Institute of Health. Following that, Davide Dettori (CEO of Health Triage) will explain the operational dynamics of BreastNegative as a technological solution for screening centers. The session will close with a presentation by Elena Galeasso (Product Development Director at Health Triage), who will showcase the development and testing work behind the AI model to demonstrate its robustness in real screening environments.
These results confirm BreastNegative’s ability to accurately identify negative exams — those for which a single reading is sufficient. This frees up valuable time, enabling healthcare facilities to expand screening coverage and allowing radiologists to focus more on complex cases. With this presence at GISMa, Health Triage reaffirms its role in turning digital innovation into a fundamental operational asset for the Italian National Health Service
