The company is one of the 84 organizations featured in the volume produced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with scientific curation by AIRI. Presented at Prix Italia 2026, the project will bring the most significant experiences of AI applied to the real economy to the world through Italy’s diplomatic network.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian Artificial Intelligence is not just research and technological development. It is increasingly an industrial capability applied to production processes, infrastructure and services, from manufacturing to energy, from mobility to healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the Italy portrayed in “Umanesimo Tecnologico. Le eccellenze italiane nell’Intelligenza Artificiale” (Technological Humanism. Italian Excellence in Artificial Intelligence), the volume produced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and scientifically curated by AIRI \u2013 the Italian Association for Industrial Research, presented on September 30 at the 78th Prix Italia in L’Aquila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the 84 selected experiences is Health Triage, included in the section dedicated to the health economy for its work applying Artificial Intelligence to cancer prevention and diagnostics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

84 stories to tell the story of Italian AI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Umanesimo Tecnologico was created with a goal that goes beyond publishing. The volume was conceived as a tool for “growth diplomacy”: through the network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Cultural Institutes, it will help present abroad a contemporary Italy in which scientific research, production capacity, innovation and expertise converge in the development of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selected cases involve large corporations, SMEs, startups, universities, research centers and national innovation hubs, spanning 11 sectors, from the blue economy and shipbuilding to logistics, from automation to microelectronics, as well as space and defense, automotive, agri-food, energy and the health economy. The common thread is an Artificial Intelligence that goes beyond chatbots and generative models, integrating with robotics, sensors, automation, autonomous systems and specialized technologies to tackle concrete economic and social challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificial Intelligence applied to cancer prevention and diagnosis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is the context in which Health Triage’s experience fits. The section dedicated to the company focuses on BreastNegative and Prostate V-Bio, the two technologies through which Health Triage is developing Artificial Intelligence applications designed to support healthcare professionals in cancer prevention and diagnostic pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BreastNegative is designed to support mammography screening programs by triaging exams, separating the operational pathway of mammograms classified as Negative from that of exams requiring the standard double-reading pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prostate V-Bio, on the other hand, applies Artificial Intelligence and biparametric magnetic resonance image analysis to the non-invasive characterization of prostate lesions, with the aim of providing additional information to support the clinical pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two different applications, united by the same principle: using Artificial Intelligence not to replace physicians’ expertise, but to enhance it through the analysis of clinical data and images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Italian approach to Artificial Intelligence<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The relationship between human knowledge and technological capability is one of the central themes of the project. As AIRI President Andrea Bairati emphasized, Italy’s industrial heritage stems from the interaction between data and the knowledge embedded in people and organizations: skills that are often difficult to formalize, which Artificial Intelligence can help enhance by analyzing data, images, sensors and operators’ decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hence the concept of “Technological Humanism”: drawing on the legacy of Italian Humanism to envision innovation in which technology does not replace people, but amplifies their abilities, knowledge and capacity to act. For Health Triage, this principle is particularly close to its own vision: in healthcare, the value of AI does not lie in automation for its own sake, but in its ability to fit into real clinical processes, supporting the work of professionals and helping make prevention more timely, precise and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Prix Italia to the Farnesina’s international network<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The volume was premiered nationally on September 30, 2026 at the 78th Prix Italia \u2013 “Play Human”, in L’Aquila, with the participation of Valerio De Parolis and Allegra Baistrocchi for the Farnesina, together with AIRI President Andrea Bairati. Prix Italia provides a particularly fitting setting for the project: the 2026 edition is in fact dedicated to the relationship between innovation and the human dimension, through the theme Play Human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After L’Aquila, Umanesimo Tecnologico will be showcased internationally at the Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico, where Italy will be Guest of Honor in 2026. But the outlook is even broader: the volume will be distributed through the network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Cultural Institutes, becoming one of the tools through which Italy will present its Artificial Intelligence expertise abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
